Artist in residency from December 2020 until March 2021, Antonia Baehr will work on her research project within The Dynamic Archive and Schwankhalle Bremen. She will, as well, give a lecture-performance and a workshop for the students within the winter semester 20/21 at  HfK Bremen.

Antonia Baehr is a choreographer and lives in Berlin. She has been working with scores for many years. They are a special way for her to connect and create collaborations. They are also a way of reading the world. But how readable is the world? And how do I read in an unreadable world?

Scores, for Baehr, are carriers of desire and are emotively charged. They are birthday gifts, portraits of friendships, portraits in animal metaphors, double portraits. They have an addressee. What happens when the addressee changes, or slips into other bodies? For the "Dynamic Archive" Baehr (in collaboration with Jule Flierl et al.) wants to create some scores of selected works for which this question could be relevant. Also the dynamics of authorship and the different perspectives of the notating, archiving persons shall get their voices.

Jule Flierl is a dance and voice artist from Berlin/Germany. She develops practices that conceive of the voice as a dancer, translating dance into the auditory realm. Her practice lives between experimental choreography and somatic singing methods, in which she develops scores to unsettle the relationship between seeing and hearing. She revives and continues the legacy of Valeska Gert, avant-garde dancer from 1920's Berlin, who first conceptualized the term SoundDance: to dance with one's voice. She hosts the voice performance series FROM BREATH TO MATTER in Berlin.

Jule Flierl's work was featured at Tanzplattform Munich 2020, Steirischer Herbst Graz 2019, Legs/La Raffinerie Brussels and Rencontres Chorégraphiques Paris 2018, La Panacée Montpellier 2016 amongst others. Currently she collaborates in different formats with performance artist Antonia Baehr and SoundDance artist Irena Z.
