Footnotes:
- The project was initiated and brought into being by Paule Potulski, Natascha Sadr Haghighian and Mona Schieren.
- Adventive plant species are classified into two groups based on their arrival time in a given area: archaeophytes and neophytes. Archaeophytes are the older species that were introduced with human assistance before the beginning of the modern era. In contrast, neophytes are species that humans introduced to new habitats in more recent times. The year 1492 marks the boundary between these two categories.
